Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Through shadows to the edge of night
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I'm HOME!! The ARNG field trip was a ROARING success! Forty seven people from BA CHEF attended. We got to go out and watch a Black Hawk do practice take offs and landings over and over...took us right out on to the tarmac!!
Then they brought us in and let us try on some gear.
Then they took us into a windowless room and divided us up into three groups and shut off all the lights and let us look at a glow stick with night vision goggles! It was pitch black until you put them on, then you could see everything! The captain gave a lecture on the anatomy of the eye.
Then they took us down to the hanger and the kids got to play on the Black Hawk. After a while, I gathered us all up for a group picture and at that time presented them with the picture with the scripture on it, framed and matted. They were really amazed and the captain gave a nice speech about how much they appreciate our support! We gave him a round of applause and then everyone slowly made there way out and home.
It was fantastic and the kids were extremely well-behaved.
I always thought that field trips...the really nice ones...were things that people who knew how to do field trips did...but I did this one and many people came up and told me it was the best field trip they've ever attended! This has been an amazing year!

Glad it came off so well, sis. Especially since you were so worried about it yesterday.

How does the alloy job work? Is it a folder? or does it slip straight out or something? Here's some idea how it works.
To: 300winmag
Hey... that's neat. Good pocket knife. Not going to fall open in your pocket-- which is... bad. :-)
Looks like the flip cover part becomes the blade lock too. Nifty.

Rosie, I'm sorry I didn't answer earlier ... too tired!
Now that you've been at it a whole week, how do you like your job?
My job is a lot like yours --- phone suport, computer make-ready, all with an eye to profit.
Apparently I'm doing all right --- I've rebuilt an OS and 'splained that an XPHome system can't be joined to a domain, and they're happy.
Did you get that first paycheck yet?
