Need help to refute "Bowling for Columbine"
self

Posted on 02/19/2006 12:50:10 PM PST by rudy45

My daughter is watching this movie in high school. Unfortunately, I haven't seen it. What things should I focus on when discussing with her? Apparently a main point of the movie is the supposed ease of obtaining guns.

Thanks.

As a former teacher, I agree with Baynative. Why is this being shown in school at all? It's a waste of time to show any theatrically-released films in school. Folks can watch it at home on their own time. Not that it should be assigned...

Just because the left flings more cr*p at your kids in school doesn't mean you should have to deal with the fallout at home. But that, of course, was the teacher's goal: confuse the kids and challenge the parents.

Grrrrrr!

On next weeks list of 'must-see' movies for our 'mush-minds', Fahrenheit 9-11! These movies, if seen at all, should be with adult supervision and guidance.

First, I'd call the Principle, the Super Intendant, and the members of the School Board and take a piece out of their hide for about 30 minutes, "For allowing leftist propaganda to be forced on students."

I think I would also make a point of visiting the teacher to do the same.

Rent it and watch it with your daughter first. Make sure she's WAY more prepared than the teacher.
