Get a job?... Catch and eat rats? Catch and eat cockroaches? Prostitution? Suicide by alligators? Drugs can numb the pain. Try alcohol. Blame your dad. Hell, blame Bush, IBM, and Walmart.
no way!
Based on my own family and friends who were victimized by Katrina it's the drugs talking. If you don't believe me, ask Trent Lott.
Or multiply 300,000 times $240,000 and ask yourself how.
i just got the notice thurs night--hearing today--24 hours to vacate
I am on direct deposit now--anyway I will find out-tomorrow is payday. it was only supposed to be 2 pay cycles that were mailed prior to direct deposit activating.
Wow...they must have streamlined the process with the hurricane. Jerks.
What is wrong with you?
If they can't figure out how to pay you quit and get a job with a company who can.
I don't see how they can evict you on that short notice; but in any case, if I were you I'd just a.) not pay the rent, and b.) move somewhere else, like several states away.
You obviously haven't read my post.
Did you go to the hearing? I don't practice law in Louisiana anymore but if I recall correctly there is a provision in the law allowing you to "cure" the deficiency by paying, so bring the cash to the court and tell the judge you are willing and able to pay.
Judges are a lot nicer than landlords, is the usual way. They don't have a dog in the fight.
If you were a dummy and didn't go to the hearing, then you can ask for a rehearing, or else appeal, and drag things out.
The Sheriff doesn't want to throw you out, he wants you to pay so he doesn't have to do it. Trust me on this.
Unfortunately, Katrina wiped out my slush fund. I was basically starting over with this new job and apartment. Like I said, I have not asked for federal assistance. I got myself a job to take care of myself.
Wrong. As conservatives, we believe in the rule of law.
Turn your corners at right angles, cross your t's, dot your i's, and pray.
The law gives you rights. You have every right to them.
I did go, so did the landlord. He REFUSED my rent. The judge ia a typical crook. Like most others he is being investigated for taking bribes. Of course this is going one while he is still a sitting judge. I'm hoping the judge on appeal will be more reasonable.
I understand that...but it would be nice to get those other checks at some point...LOL!
You sure as heck should have.
So, bad as it may seem, now, you need to put your effort into making the best of a bad situation and find another place to live. You must take care of yourself and your pets as best you can and forget about refighting the fight with the landlord. You know, if he wants you out, he will find another excuse to evict you, even if you find some way to stay now. Then you will just have the same problem again.
Good luck.
Did you have Professor Zeller for Philosophy 101? He was sooooooooo kewl. His lectures on Nietzsche were the best. Does he still wear blue jeans in class?
