Welcome to the new FreeRepublic folding@home thread. The previous thread has gotten too large, so we move on to yet another.

While this folding@home team is not officially sanctioned by Free Republic, it's 250+ members comprised primarily of Free Republic members in good standing have banded together to donate their excess CPU cycles to a worthy cause. Via distributed computing, millions of computers around the world, contribute directly to scientific research, in the quest for a greater understanding of diseases such as Alzheimer's, Cancer, and Mad Cow (BSE).

Currently, the team is in 241st place, having moved up from 1200th place, a week earlier, and is now in the top 100 teams, for daily contributions.

This is an entirely voluntary program, and if you want to learn more, please see the links posted below (or read one of the previous 8 folding threads)

lol, some of that was kind of funny - in a disturbing sort of way. Nigerian Scam artists?

I know how angry many of you must have been at that moment. I have been temporarily upset when someone pulls one of my threads or on other sites I get flamed. The feeling later passes, and if I even remember it months later, I can laugh about it.

I am very glad you all hung together!

Me too... our evil, hidden past, may it never be dredged up again.

Now, while I got your attention, I have some funds in an account, that I am unable to get access to, via normal means. Can you kind sir, please let me help us set up a mutually beneficial arrangement, where you would receive, upwards of 100,000 folding points, merely for assisting me in..... :)

The only department we shop together in is the firearms area. It is there that our interest converge. Lol

Yeah, but I would wager, that you still try to *accessorize*.... gee honey, that black gun case clashes with the grips on that model. The Burgundy Leather one, goes much nicer..... nononononono... Aluminum is so like "last year", you know. The faux titanium, is all the rage this year, and it matches your hunting vest :)

CabalPowered Mon Feb-20-06 10:02 PM Response to Reply #5 16. Quick note on foldmenow When I setup the farm I thought each box needed a unique identifier and so I assigned each one a number. Now that I know they don't need uniques, I've put them all on one name, foldmenow.

Well... I wonder if anyone on that side, will consider that a single user, counts 10:1 in their "higher number of new users" that they're so proud of touting.

We seem pretty consistent on the 5,000 pts per update average, 45,000 points per day. That's what I've been using to estimate what our potential gains/scores might be.

Looking at the graphs, however, it looks like a giant zigzag stitch.

That's a triceratops! Are you saying we fold RINOs into dinosaurs? Or are we triceratopses and we fold them by trampling them? *scratches head*

"That's a triceratops! Are you saying we fold RINOs into dinosaurs?"

LOL

We expose the Rinos for what they are: has-beens about to become extinct.

(ooops - eyesight's not what it used to be - still, heheh, pretty good for the spur of the moment, don't you think?)

Damn, I was gonna give you a wisenheimer remark, but you were dead on with that. But, I'd like to see that faux titanium vest. I think I have the perfect pair of boots that would match it. :-)

Speaking of which, I just found 25 of my wayward children (not reporting within 7 days... )

Ouch !! Lab Trainer had set them to proxy, so his substitue couldn't surf the internet, then went on vacation. I discovered it, because they were being used for a training session today, and had to get on the internet for the first time since mid January, and couldn't. For the last 32 days, they've been screaming for permission to call home to mommy, but nobody was answering the phone.

Can you say *AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH**
