Welcome to the new FreeRepublic folding@home thread. The previous thread has gotten too large, so we move on to yet another.

While this folding@home team is not officially sanctioned by Free Republic, it's 250+ members comprised primarily of Free Republic members in good standing have banded together to donate their excess CPU cycles to a worthy cause. Via distributed computing, millions of computers around the world, contribute directly to scientific research, in the quest for a greater understanding of diseases such as Alzheimer's, Cancer, and Mad Cow (BSE).

Currently, the team is in 241st place, having moved up from 1200th place, a week earlier, and is now in the top 100 teams, for daily contributions.

This is an entirely voluntary program, and if you want to learn more, please see the links posted below (or read one of the previous 8 folding threads)

"sorry guys. Next month, I'll really try harder."

ROTFLOL

It's about time!  (just kidding)

We need to change your name to Superman or SuperFolder, or King (Folder) Kong, lol.

Gold Medal

Too bad the Olympics don't give a Gold medal - Sydney 2000 for folding - you'd be an automatic winner.

When you do, lets use the updated "list of links", instead of the one that's been used up to now.

Formatting is much better, and takes up less room.

We should break the 2,000,000 point mark in two days. We will be 1,500,000 points ahead of the DUmp in 5 days.

I'm not sure we want to just pass by this team... I think we should reach out to them. Maybe give them a helping hand, or something. I mean, what if they need our support ?

actually, 71,232 points away, as of the 7pm Stanford update.

After that, we can easily anticipate a million per month.

Woo Hoo.....

It takes about 5.7 million points to get into the Top100

At this rate, that's about 4 months worth of points for our team.

I'm going to add in some more this coming week. Million a month seems like a worthy goal.

Yeah, but two months ago, just getting into the top 1000 was like, something that we can do, in a month or two, and a major milestone was reaching 100 CPU's, and 100,000 points.

With the team growth, 2, 2.5 million points per month, is not unrealistic.

Don't settle for anything less, than #3, right behind Team Default, and Team Google.
