2/10/06 Battlestar Galactica

Anyone else find this to be another episode with parallels to today. There were some lines in it that sounded very familiar. Particularly the bit about not negotiating with terrorists.

"Just give them what they want!" , "What if the terrorists are right?"

sound like things we hear a lot these days. When i heard "Just give them what they want!" it really reminded me of the way people react to hostage takings in Iraq today. In fact I think Jill Carroll said the same thing in a video the same day this was aired. That is something that immediately struck me.

Anyone else think the widow was a Cindy Sheehan type of tragic character. One who has had a loss but then goes off the deep end taking out her anger on the military and the government.

Yup ~ Cindy Sheehan with a gun ~ but did you check out out many other nutcases she found to run around with her ~ they were just as dangerous.

That was an excellent show last evening ~ all the bad guys who got killed deserved it.

Yup. Can't wait to see when Pegasus tries to leave. Looks like next episode may address this.

Unfortunately, they killed off Crashdown. I'm still hoping he comes back as a cylon.

And now Billy. I was really weeping last nite.

I still can't see Lee with Dee. They're aiming for a Starbuck-Apollo relationship.

Naw, Starbuck is too "tough" for the younger Apollo. She's much more in line with what his old man likes in a woman!

I see a trophy bride coming ~ remember, the ExO already has one, and you can tell the Captain is well aware of it.

i actually think it will be Admiral Adama and Roslyn. i think there has been a lot of build up to that in the episodes where she was dying.

You think Tigh has a trophy bride? She's just a slut if you ask me.

She was a "trophy bride" earlier. She's run interference for his career.

Tigh is either gay or like the fellow in King of the Hill.

in the episodes where they argue, you see why he keeps her around. That was some weird stuff. apparently they like it rough.

Never seen King of the Hill.

I do admire him for his loyalty to the Admiral though. And I too think Olmos is incredible as Adama.

Lucky you. I keep watching the first four episodes of season 2 over and over cause I just can't get enough of Crashdown.
