This sounds like that old Mad TV skit. I didn't think it would ever really happen.
And the great early SNL skit about a three-blader (which didn't exist at the time). The punchline was, "Because you'll believe anything".
The Fusion is better than the Quatrro in my opinion. I wonder if the moonbats are still accusing Gillette of "tracking" people?
You could use alcohol to clean the baldes. Just rinse the blade before use. You might want to try Lumene Skin tech shaving creme.
I use the Quattro too.....however, I find the prices of refill catridges to be outrageous.
I have the same problem with the Quattro on facial hair than is longer than a 2-day old stubble.
The blades are expensive, you're right. Still, when I take my time and extra rinse, and when the blade is sharp, the quattro gives me a hell of a smooth shave! You get what you pay for, sometimes! :-)
Does the marketing department get their ideas from jokes? 5 blades? I wasn't sure if this was a gag commercial or not. The Mach 3 is bad enough (I hope they aren't phasing it out).
When the commercial came on, one of my friends remarked that the next step will be to have a mask you wear that shaves your whole face in one instant. He may not be wrong with the way things are going.
Personally I'm waiting for the 50 blader one that mounts on the wall and you just rub your face on it and hope you come away with skin left to use.
Back to the drawing board. |
All these dumb gimmicks are going to lead to a resurgence in the full beard. Gillette helped to make the Roman clean-shaven look in, and they'll help to kill it too.
This thread is making me feel so inferior for still using a two-bladed razor. The original Sensor was the best razor ever made. Now you usually can't find it, because retailers prefer to stock the "Sensor Excel" which costs more. The Excel has this idiotic strip of rubber at the bottom which I think is supposed to give you a closer shave, but actually makes things worse. That strip of rubber adds an extra $4 to a box of 15 for some reason. Whenever I see a box of originals, I buy them the way Elaine Benes buys Today Sponges.
Enough already. Let's introduce the 100-blade razor and get it over with.
Does anyone still use injector shavers? I liked them; but its all click-on/click-off blades now.
$13 for blades -- NUTS. Give me the old days.
