I know many of these recipes are top secret, but I will be happy to settle for those in the public domain.:-)

I didn't know that about the beans. Oh, no, I'd never consider Cincinnati chili as chili. But I do like Cincinnati chili in and of itself. I guess it is eaten in restaurants in Cincinnati. I have never seen it in public. The recipe is funny looking with all those sweet spices. Almost looks like a Middle Eastern dish. Please don't tell me the moos invented one of my favorite foods! Ack!

Yeah, DD can fly around, but I'm stuck in the mini-van. Sigh. Maybe I should invest in an MP3 player....

High in potassium. I think they help keep you from having a hangover after you drink the one case minus 2 cans of beer. :-)

Bananas (and chocolate) help to cool off the palate if your chili is too hot.

Beer is an essential in a chili cook off. You can never have enough.

Well, recipe calls for a case of beer, but only seems to use 2 cans. Figured the rest went to help cool off between tastings, etc. :-)
