Bobby Labonte in the Petty #43 Cheerios Dodge to the pole on the first lap, and his second-lap speed is 187.935.
Why isn't Evernham using their motors at the plate tracks?

To: SouthTexas
Clint Bowyer (my pick for ROTY because RCR has the best equipment among the outfits fielding rookies) 2nd of 5 with a 187.786.

I've got NASCAR on the XM radio - I guess I really should quit whining now.

(2006 will be a very good year.)
Forgot to mention that Truex will run in the 1st Duel Thursday (the #15 was 25th in 2005 owners' points, and the "odds" among the top 35 will run in the 1st Duel unless one of them is 2nd-quick today).
We skip Travis Kvapil in the Tide Slide to get to David Stremme. Stremme in the Lonestar Steakhouse is 5th-quick of 7 with a 184.543, and will start in the 2nd Duel (the #40 was 26th in owners' points).

Somewhere in the first 250 posts.
Robot done blew up; he'll start at the back of the 1st Duel (7th in 2005 owners' points).

He's got a fast hot rod; he'll push that thing up to the front of the 1st Duel, and even if he doesn't, he'll start in the top 39 in the Daytona 500 in any case.

I know a flat is frustrating now, but it's a lot better than trying to figure out what happened to an engine!

Very true.
McMary pushes the #26 (was #97) Sharpie Ford to 3rd of 9 drivers that took the green flag with a 187.743. He'll be in the 2nd Duel (8th in owners' points).

BRING BACK HOOSIER!!!! Travis Kvapil slides the Tide Ride to 4th of 10 and 1st of 4 field-fillers with a 187.106. He had the pole going into 3, but lost a lot of time in 3 and 4.
