...And if the Colts actually go the distance (I doubt it, but you never know) I'll be rooting for the NFC team, maybe I'll give the Seahawks a little extra mojo.

I'm with you here. I actually like the 'Hawks from back in the Jim Zorn to Steve Largent days, but not against the Steelers. It was the whining that got my feathers in a ruffle.

Good luck Seattle and if you don't want Shawn Alexander anymore I'd love to see the Steelers sacrifice some high priced vets and free agents for some cap space.

They're a former AFC team and were wise enough to abandon the dome (I oppose domes) so that's good enough reason for me to root for them as long as they aren't up against my Steelers. Really when it was looking like the AFC representative was going to be either to Colts or the Broncos I was all prepared to root for the Seahawks (even said as much on some ancient thread late in the season).

I think I'd rather dump high priced vets to keep Randal El. We're in a bit of trouble with the cap next year and Randal El is a free agent, though Bettis' retirement helps a lot. Not saying anything bad about Alexander but I think we'd be better with Randal El if it came to an either or of just those two.
