Maybe I haven't seen all the pictures, but everyone I have seen they point to his wristband as the conclusive evidence that the ball crossed the line. The best pictures I have seen shows the ball about two inches short. But that may not be Ben's furthest progress and you can't see where the tip of the ball is as it is hidden by his elbow. I still contend that Ben got the call because he slyly slide the ball over the goal line as the ref approached. That's part of the game. Blockers do stuff on every play to hide the fact they are holding. Refereeing a game is imperfect and will slant every game one way or the other. If you go out and beat your opponent, you don't have to worry about those things. Seattle clearly did not do much to win the game. Pittsburg did make a few big plays. Randle El's perfect pass off balance on the run was by far the best play of the game. Of course I live in Bloomington, so I am a bit bias, but he is one of the most exciting players to watch.
I like Randel El, too. He and Ward are pretty good eggs and fun to watch. They're really great guys off the field, too.
