They made it a tribute to the victims of hurricane Katrina with Aaron Neville and Aretha "Refrigerator" Franklin humming, moaning and mouthing the words to what appeared to be the Star Spangled Banner. Nothing recognizable. Pretty pitiful.

What happened with the National Anthem? I wasn't home in time to catch it. You would hardly have recognized it. :( It was more of a "Hip Hop" version. Personally I wish they'd have let a five year old sing it.
