Allow me to correct the title for you ...

Steelers Given a win of Super Bowl XL by the Refs, 21-10

Frankly, with my beloved Redskins sitting at home watching as I was, I was just hoping for a good, well played game and instead, IMNSHO, got to see one of the most blatant examples at "game-influencing" I've seen in ANY sport ... including the WWF.

Pittsburgh's quarterback did not cross the goal line on the first TD

What game were you watching? That ball was 2 inches over the line. That was the only correct call the refs made.

Just for the scale of it, I liked the Burger King spot. The ladies dressed as the various parts diving on top of each other was rather tasty in sordid way. And the lyric referring to the 'Freakish" King was fun too.

But the diet Pepsi spots are enough to make me switch to Big K cola.

1. The ball broke the plane before he was knocked back.
2. There was an obvious hold (arm wrapped around his neck as he was running towards the QB.
3. Both teams made big plays but the Steelers made them count.
Sorry I can't join your pitty-party but it looked like the Steelers just took control of the game and won.
BTW-both teams played hard and deserve credit.

Born and bred Packer fan here...

Absolutely a horrible officiating game.

We enjoyed the Puppy Bowl more than the Stupor Bowl.

Was it me, or were the ads really lame this year?

It wasn't you. And what surprised me is that I saw ads during halftime that I saw last week? Re-run ads on SuperBowl half time? I don't understand it?

The ads were mostly extremely lame. I only found the FedEx one about the cavemen to even be entertaining. Nobody really put forth any effort, but that might be just liberals having yet another snit about having to have creativity within restraint.

The Burger King Ad at the beginning was great with the girls making a hamburger. Very creative, fun, eye catching. I loved it and it worked.

And the FED EX was also very good.

"...watercooler buffoons and NY Times origami folding types 'look forward' to commercials..."

Much more entertaining than either the game or the halftime show. That was a fairly crappily officiated game. The only exciting parts were the 75 yard run and the Seattle interception.

THE worst "Super" Bowl ever. On a ten point scale: 3

- Freezing In Detroit: 2

- Commercial's entertainment value 3

- Referees calls: 0

- Rolling Stones: 0

- Friends I was with to watch the game: 10

I had to listen to the game on the radio, and the coverage by the Westwood One team was very good. I hate the overblown network TV coverage. The ads on the radio were when I went to the bathroom.

LOL - The ball did not break plane and you know it. Even Madden said that was not a hold, or did you miss that? How about the ghost push-off to negate a touchdown by Seattle? Steve Young was all over that. How about Hasselbeck's "block" below the knees when he tackled the guy? lol

The Steelers got that touchdown, it was pretty clear to me!

As far as the Seahawks call, I think they should have probably gotten the touchdown, but in that case, it still woulda been Pittsburgh 21-17.
