If only we had a photo of Eric Govan's face at the moment it happened.
Govan, as you may have heard, is the Golden State Warriors' PR assistant who inadvertently sent a wildly inappropriate e-mail called "ghetto prom" to the news media.
Not just the local news media, but ESPN, CBS, Sports Illustrated and other publications.
Oops.
It was the ultimate Internet nightmare, and Govan had to have known it instantly. There must have been a second, perhaps with his finger still on the "send'' key, when he thought, "Oh my God, I believe my career has just spontaneously burst into flame.''
Govan sent out a heartfelt apology as quickly as possible -- 16 minutes later, in fact -- but it was already too late. A little more than an hour after everyone received Govan's e-mail, they received a stern, voice-of-doom e-mail from team President Robert Rowell saying Govan had been "dealt with in an appropriate manner.''
He was fired.
The episode, which played out Wednesday afternoon, was a cautionary tale acted out right here in our inboxes. And for anyone who has forwarded an off-color joke or a racy photo from work, it sent chills down the spine.
We've all done it at some point.

These photos are old news. I got them months ago and thought they were a gas. I just can't believe their parents let them leave the house dressed like that.
Wow... I am reeling in shock... I have never seen anything like that... it's like... Mardi Gras in Hell's high school ... or something
My son dresses like that. Really.
I don't have any say and neither does his wife.
But. he goes to work, he changes into a U. S. Army uniform.
I'd kick his butt, except those days are long gone.

True story.
Some dude in my squadron wanted to send an e-mail to another shipmate. The e-mail was a very disgusting pornographic mpeg dealing with, um, how do I put this, um, let's just say it was of the um, "German variety." (Some of you will know what I am talking about.)
He wasn't very savvy with e-mail so he asked for some help. A so-called "friend" showed him how to send it to his buddy as well as all 225+ people in the squadron including the CO, XO, and CMC. They were not amused and his internet and e-email privileges were quickly revoked.

It's not uncommon for a woman to have that dark line on her abdomen in late pregnancy. It has an official name and everything. Besides that, c-section scars are much smaller, run horizontally and are low down near the pubic hair line in order to hide them better. I suppose, in an emergency, a Dr might feel he needed to perform the surgery like that but it's probably pretty rare.

The thing about this Ghetto Prom email, (if it's the same one I've received before) is that it's ACTUAL PHOTOS OF REAL PEOPLE, and not an offensive cartoon or charicature that someone has created....
