Lanky, black teen male strolls right up to little girl sitting outside the store, reaches up and YANKS the chain from around her neck, girl grabs her neck and screams, and our hero strolls back to the car.

Absolutely unfuc&&ing believable.

I think y'all are missing the point--the necklace can be replaced. But WHY was this child sitting outside ALONE in NYC while her mother 'shopped' inside?!?!

When I first heard this story, and the word 'snatched', I thought it was the girl being kidnapped--thank God in heaven that she wasn't, and shame on her mother for leaving her outside alone in a city known for it's criminal element.
