He's hair, he's there. He's everywhere QB's don't expect him. He's Steelers safety Troy Polamalu.
Detroit The Flowin Samoan has about as much chance of being overlooked in the Pittsburgh secondary during Super Bowl XL as Fabio would at boot camp.
Troy Polamalus only advantage in the art of clandestine operations is his height, and maybe his library voice. Hes generously listed at 5-10, which must include his braids sticking straight up in fright mode.
I can eat peanuts off his head, said Steelers defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau, himself a great defensive back who didnt exactly tower over receivers while starring for the old Detroit Lions. But Ill tell you what, hes tall enough.
Polamalu is an unnatural wonder, a Swiss army knife of possibilities who covers deep, floats around the Pittsburgh zone and crowds the line of scrimmage seemingly all at the same time.
Some players are great in space. Some are terrifi c tacklers. Some know how to find the quarterback. Some work best disrupting intermediate pass routes.
You have all four of those guys in one with Troy, said LeBeau, who gives Polamalu checkpoints in different coverages but lets the former USC All-American decide which route to take to arrive there.
One minute you think hes blitzing and the next hes running 30 yards downfield to cover a receiver, said Seattle linebacker Lofa Tatupu, who was a red-shirt freshman at USC when Polamalu was a senior. Pittsburgh teammates call him the Tasmanian Devil for how he seems to be everywhere at once and for his signature move where he turns his back on the QB, fakes retreat, then spins into a perfectly timed blitz.
Deeply religious, Polamalu prefers an edited version of the nickname. ...........

GO STEEL TOWN !!!
Seattle Stabucks or whatever they`re called, suck !
I call him Cousin IT because of his hair length and for no other reason. TP is a hell of a player. Wish Dallas could get him.
PONTIAC, Mich. (AP) - Pittsburgh Steelers Pro Bowl safety Troy Polamalu said he "tweaked" an ankle during practice Thursday and was added to the team's Super Bowl injury report as probable.
The cause of the injury wasn't immediately known. Only a pool reporter selected by the NFL is permitted to watch pre-Super Bowl practices, and Polamalu mentioned the injury to that reporter.
The injury was first revealed when the Steelers listed him on their daily injury report..........
What's impressive is how much he's matured from last year.
The 'Flamin' Samoan'
hes ok, they said he wasnt even limping, they reported it to give him an excuse if they lose.
It's a 'Burgh

Stinkers, I mean Steelers, are cry babies !
so there.
Just heard that an MRI shows no damage. They'll give him a cortisone shot that day & he'll be just fine. Oh, he'll feel in for the next week or two alright, but he'll be just fine on game day.
He's the heat-seeking missile!
That would be "Starbucks". If you're going to insult us, do it right.
Now, where'd I put my latte?
*******
I like the way that sounds. I think that's a keeper. This Bud Shaw has a future.
He practiced well today. He looks good.......... but .......
Maybe more.
Troy will be fine and have a big game. I'm very optimistic about this.
A VERY BIG GAME!!!
I hope you are RIGHT!
I'm sure I am right! Troy is one tough dude, without question. He will bring everything he has to the game, which is plenty!!!
