Linux...easy? LOL!
What I want to know is, what drives your obsession?
Careful, the last time you tried to tell us how hard Linux was I had to post a flash capture of something you said Linux does not do...
Actually once you get used to it--I've seen other students adjust in 3-4 days, usage and reinstalling isn't that hard to figure out, and especially so with graphical installers such as SuSE's YAST.
Last spring when I put SuSE 9.1 on a university laptop and SuSE 9.2 came out, even I could figure out how to pave over the partition, install everything I want, and not disturb the existing XP Pro partition in less than three hours.
I'll grant you some distros are harder to install and aren't meant for beginning users--it took me three tries before I was able to figure out the Slack installer and successfully pave over the SuSE 9.x partition.
Unfortunately, I don't have the laptop--I transferred to another school this past summer. Didn't get the opportunity to ask to make a hd image for backup.
BTW Found this in my mailbox today:
"
OK..
I installed linux and am simply amazed at how good it works...
"
So again you show that you have no concept of how to use Linux and yet try to be an authority on how 'hard it is'
