Why am I not surprised that Hollywierd isn't pushing this movie.

"We created this film in what many of those in the pro-life movement consider the belly of the beast – Hollywood,” Deborah Flora said in a statement.

"God knows it wasn’t made to further our careers or make money. We made it so that through our craft, a terrible truth could be told so lives could be saved.”

The idea for the 35-minute movie came when the Floras has difficulty conceiving a child. Research into infertility led Jonathan to the issue of partial-birth abortion.

"My wife and I were praying so hard to have children, and yet we’re aborting 40,000 children a year,” he told World.

Why am I not surprised that Hollywierd isn't pushing this movie.

The fact that it's only 35-minutes long means people won't pay $10 to see it at the box office.

Maybe a TV network will broadcast it. </sarcasm>

It has a 3.4/10 weighed rating on IMDB although the overwhelming majority gave it ratings above 7.

The left seems to have slammed the ratings on this the same way they do news articles they disagree with on Yahoo Headlines (they vote up stories they like and down those they want suppressed or disagree with).

Partial-birth abortion is a procedure in which a doctor partially delivers a baby, then punctures its skull and removes its brain before completing the delivery.

I'll never understand how a human being can do this once and live with himself/herself.

You know, with more women putting off marriage and having children b/c of career, I am not surprised many of them are looking for other ways to have babies. That being said, the reality of adoption and abortion have come further into women's lives than ever before. (e.g. "If you don't want your kid, we'll raise him/her for you")

Isn't it? I was impressed. I'm going to order the DVD online as I'm pretty sure I won't find it at Best Buy ;).

I'm a little reluctant to watch it. I have disturbing dreams often enough without having to watch scary movies. I pass on a lot of rated -R stuff, I just can't stomach them. The movie looks very good, but I am really a wuss when it comes to the stuff of bad dreams. When you see the whole thing, maybe you can ping me and let me know how scary it really is. Drama is one thing. Disturbing is another. Soemtimes it's just the music that they play in the background that gets me going. If it's not as bad as the trailer leads me to believe, then I may order it also.

Absolutely! I'm not much of a writer, but maybe my husband or I can write up a quick "unofficial freeper movie review." I know what you mean about disturbing movies - I tried to watch "Exorcist: New Beginning" recently. I had to keep stopping and going away for awhile as it was an awful lot to deal with: very violent and, yes, that music adds to your mental terror.
