we are currently implementing a significant (and costly) hardware upgrade. We hope that these new servers will give us the necessary power to grow and improve our website throughout this election year, and to handle unexpected traffic spikes. There is no ideal time to do a large upgrade like this.I guess their last batch of hamsters got fatigued, and they're greasing the wheels again
Seriously, haven't they heard of clustering, and sequential upgrades. I brought 10 new servers online after Katrina, and my total downtime was less than 5 minutes ( an unexpected reboot due to an overloaded UPS ).
They probally have decent equipment over there, but their IT guy got his papers from TT, so he hasen't got a clue.
The only thing they know about "clustering", is f@*%ing.
