Thank The GOP! It seems that lately we are more apt to criticize the GOP for not doing things the way we'd like... Now we have something we ought to thank them for. Show your thanks to the GOP for supporting President Bush's nomination of Samuel Alito, and helping to make his confirmation possible.
Send them a donation ending in $.58... $10.58, $20.58, $50.58, $100.58, etc. etc.
Remember, tonight when you prepare to watch the State of the Union, Samuel Alito will be walking into the chamber with Justices Scalia, Thomas, and Roberts... Without President Bush and a Republican majority, this wouldn't be possible.
Show your appreciation by sending the GOP a donation ending in $.58... $10.58, $20.58, $50.58, $100.58, etc. etc.
You'll never guess where I found it linked! In the DUmp!!! (with the requisite barfing emoticons all over it) Thanks for the link, DUmmies!!!
I'll thank them AFTER I see how Alito performs in his new position. Only AFTER I see proof that he will uphold the constitution and not legislate from the bench... and that includes legislating a right or left position.
Pubbies have disappointed me too much and left President Bush and all of us too many times. I won't send them any more money ever. I WILL however say 58 prayers for President Bush and Justice Alito and their families.
Hogwash - there is some pay back due - time for the left to get back in balance.
Ditto!
Hey, if anyone has any links or articles to some good old leftwing hatred after this, send them to me. I am reveling in their misery. I am such an awful person.
As long as Lincoln Chaffee gets one red cent, I won't send one redder cent.
I just told the NSRC they must get rid of Chaffee if they expect our dollars this year!'Nick' said as long as Chaffee says he is a Republican the NSRC charter says he must be supported. I said it is time to get a backbone!!
Not a bad idea!
I just made a (very infrequent) visit to DU also - I laughed and laughed at them!
Now some lefties are going to bang pots and pans during the State of the Union address? Too funny! They haven't a clue.
Anyone have a good book on mass delusions?
My political contributions go through the Club For Growth.
Anything on DU is worth a laugh . . .
I thought about that, too, but the 'pubs did their job. Who knows how a USSC judge is going to vote on any particular case?
I'm going to donate (not since Lott&Gang sabotaged Clinton's impeachment) to reward a positive behavior. jmo.
you could always send 58 illegal aliens instead.
I love how the media calls Sandra Day O'Connor a "moderate". And abortion is a "moderate" form of birth control. I guess allowing to kill your child anytime before their fifth birthday would be consider "liberal"?
No wonder it rained on this year's Rose Parade. When a "moderate" is the grand marshal, even God couldn't stand to watch it.
Good for you. We got so tired of the pubbies wimping out we wrote and told them about it and said we have contributed but were not happy with them. So, guess what? After all the years of receiving a Christmas Card from the White House beginning with when Bush was Gov of Texas...the clowns (not Bush) didn't see to it that we got a card this year. I thought that was tacky and childish but...it was par for the course. No more $$$$$$$$$. In fact, once President Bush is gone from the White House I do not plan to ever become involved again except to vote and that's that.
58 illegal alienms should be shipped to 1600 Penn.
I too told Nick basicly the same thing, and received the same answer. These idiots are sealing their own fate. They think that just because there's an (R) after their name, that we'll support them in order to prevent a (D) from getting in. That was shown to be the case re: Specter. I guess we deserve the title of " silent majority."
Well, I certainly don't agree on Chaffee's vote on the confirmation of Alito, however he did do the right thing and vote Yes on the cloture motion. Had that seat been in the Dem's hands, the outcome would have been the opposite. Those squishy 'moderates' on both sides at least held together as their own group this time...
or better yet a donation to FR for 58.42.
