Treadwell to me is the classic example of the tragic consequences of the liberal mindset. He envisioned himself as someone "PROTECTING THE BEARS" when the bears did not need protecting (no hunting is allowed in the Katmai National Park, and there is no development there, either). In the end, it cost him everything.

It's on right now, and I turned it off.

...It's a 3 hour documentary and it just seems inane!

I don't want to speak ill of the dead....so I'll pass on commenting.

But I do find the subject ghoulish....

Still a fascinating documentary. Werner Herzog does a great job of drawing people out with a calm and trusting demeanor. One can see how he is very good at what he does
Timothy is fascinating in his insanity. Yes he got what he deserved....but you still can't get drawn into the train wreck. Amy Hunigard still is a mystery. fascinating . I think its a pretty cool flic.
