No. I am neutral about the Cowboys (its the Viqueens I hate) and have rooted them on in the past when they had good teams in the SB. And I kind of agree with the premise of the article. I was just disputing the facts presented stating that only one team had won as many NFL championships. That statement was just plain wrong.
On another note, I don't get this need you seem to have to be persecuted because your a Cowboy fan...never heard that before. I don't think the Cowboys register on the average fans radar screen anymore than any other team. They've had some good teams and they have had some really bad teams.

Re:
how do you like the way I turned your Cowboys thread into sort of a Houston thread while I was here. And we suck! {evil laughter...}
Yeah, you had me worried for a moment...
But since you are shipping me a tank...
I forgive you.

God the Cardinal franchise is pitiful.
To: mainepatsfan
It's been around since the 19th century too.

What is your source for that. I believe some numbers are wrong.

"Let's see: Lee Roy Jordan played in six pro bowls, had over 1,200 combined tackles, 743 solo tackles, recorded 21 combined tackles in a single game, yeah, doesn't sound like anything special. BTW, if Harris and Waters were mediocre, how come more members of the "great defensive line" that propped them up never made it into the hall?"Maybe you make a case for Jordan. Howley's borderline.
Harris and Waters WERE mediocre. Too slow, and not hard tacklers.
Don't ask me why Too Tall, Harvey Martin, Jethro Pugh, Randy White(?) aren't in. But Lilly's in. Is Renfro?
My theory is that the Tom Landry and his coaches were ahead of their time and deserve MUCH of the credit for the Cowboy's success.
Much like the Vikings front four of Eller, Page, Larsen, and Marshall, and able LB corp made heroes out of the Vikes mediocre secondary, so it was with Dallas'.
Two best secondary's ever, imo:
Chief's late 60s, and the Steelers late 70s. Honorable mention to the Raiders @late 60/early 70s.
Best D ever: 1985 Bears.
To: Bender2
The half time show. ;)Really My only interest is in rooting for the Steelers NOT to get their 5th win. But I'm afraid it's gonna happen.

The only time they seem to sell out their home games is when they play Dallas.

I love the Cowboys. Should be a bucketful of them in the hall.

Hollywood has taught us that Cowboys have homosexual tendencies.
Queers are not allowed in the hall of fame
Thus no dallas guys.

What is your source for that. I believe some numbers are wrong. I thought so as well at first, but then I read more closely and he is counting NFC championship games as well. That is how Tampa Bay has a 1-2 record even though they've only been to one superbowl.
To: Bender2
That and Randy White's fumble was just too much for the 'Boys to overcome.
To: JeffAtlanta
That's why I said NFL/NFC championship.

pay backs are hell. This season Dallas will pay Houston back.

I have a hard time explaining to some folks the playoff formats of the first four SB's before the merger.
To: JeffAtlanta
It's funny how both Rams-Bucs NFC title games were such low scoring yawners. 9-0 and 11-6?!
