Look at the graphic in post #44, at the check box right above the "cancel" button. That's all of the configuration that there is. I'm going to try it once [unless I hear otherwise] when I finish my WU on Friday.
Our question is, "How does doing work in batches affect folding?"
I'm assuming "no flags" means no boxes checked on the Advanced tab in Configuraion.
It is amazing how fast this team has shot up. We will be in the top 300 in just 2 more days. Then into the top 200 in just another month.
After that it looks like we will be passing < one team a day for awhile.
pinging the SheLion to post #3.

Thank you for all your help!
I'm folding!
Great. I got tied up yesterday so wasn't back on FR till just now, what did you do to resolve it?
As you can tell, I'm not very good with computers.
LOL.
I think I wasn't letting it connect.
Are the DUmmies still "hot" on our trail? ;)

On the graphical client, in the advanced tab in the configuration window, at the bottom choose deadlineless AND check "Get and return deadlineless work in batches". That's all I did.
On my PC, I can fold one deadlineless WU (239 - 241 points) in just over a day. If I fold "regular" WUs, I can fold more WUs but they total less points (more like 150 - 200 points).
Yeah, now they're only falling behind about 21k points a day instead of 20k points/day. Since 21k is greater than 20k, they must be catching up. Right?
You took my punchline away. lol
Hey, Mal, you know anything about coding/programmimg? I'm trying to get my iframe page to access pages that need a login and password.

Depends on the Language. C/C++/VB/.net/c#/SQL/etc. are a good part of what I do for a living(Engineer/Programmer).. I've only done cursory work with web stuff using higher level CMS like PHPNuke, Postnuke(my Gaming website), etc. I mean, I can write an applet to send up an XML POST/Retieve/whatever, but the actual XML is all machine generated. As for basic HTML, I just know the basic tags, the rest I use plugins, activeX or applets to make the more complicated table and frame code.
Huh?

Jus' kiddin'. LOL

They only fell behind another 27,384 points today.
I have updated the point total graphs in post #35.
Run config
Yes to "Change advanced options"
Yes to "Request WUs w/o deadlines"
Yes to "Minimize networking -- get and submit work in batches"
I don't think that higher points are due to running in batches, but due to using deadlineless WUs. I use batch processing just in case I can't connect to the internet.
