In this undated photo provided by the Waikiki Aquarium, a humuhumunukunukuapuaa, also called a triggerfish, is shown. Rep. Blake Oshiro had long lived under the delusion that many Hawaii residents share: that the sprightly colored fish with the excessively long name is Hawaii's state fish. Oshiro found out in a conversation with the 4-year-old son of a friend and constituent that the state fish designation isn't official. (AP Photo/Waikiki Aquarium)

Curiously, "Humuhumunukunukuapuaa" is the exact thing I said when I was deflowered.

After snorkling in Hawaii in a few locations on Oahu, I think that it is a very appropriate fish for a state fish, even though the whole notion of state thisses and state thats kind of irritates me.

In New York, our state fish actually comes from Illinois and is most famous for being found in Arkansas.

I's post a picture of our state bird, but it'd get removed by the moderator.

This is so wrong!

The humuhumunukukuapua'a can't be dethroned! Seriously, this is going to REALLY bug lots of people, silly as that sounds.

Damn, there's even a cute song where part of it goes"...and the humuhumunukunukuapua'a goes swimmin' on by!" :(
