Soda, coke, pop...whatever. Heh...

I had a few friends from old MA families who called it tonic. That one just made me shake my head.

When I was an associate pastor, we took a trip to a conference down south. The pastor looked bewildered standing in front of the drink fountain, because in addition to all of the drinks, there was a button labeled "soda."

I had to explain to him that in the south, "soda" means "soda water." He was from Arkansas, so I don't know why he didn't know that.
