Disturbing and sad that people have to treat animals like that.

Barbaric. My heart breaks for these dogs, and the other animals made to be hapless victims of these creeps.
We go round and round about pit bulls on this forum, but there's one thing I don't ever want to be misunderstood about: I have nothing but sympathy for the pit bulls who are victimized by dog fighting. My heart breaks for every last one of them.

Gosh. Did you click on the pictures and get a look at those CHAINS?? They look like elephant restraints to me.

If you can stomach it, this video opens a window to the barbaric and evil world of dog-fighting...

This dog owner would be elevated to a position of expert animal handler here in North Mississippi and would get the endorsement of the locals easily. This happens all of the time here and nothing, I repeat, nothing is done.

"The dogs are basically friendly, but when you put them with another dog, all they know to do is to try to kill the other dog."
That sounds pernanent to me. Our rescued, formerly abused and aggressive dog has come a long way in the plus 7 years we've had her. She's come a very long way in terms of trusting kind human beings, but she is NOT to be trusted around other dogs, cats, or any other living creatures. Including a precious, wild baby duckling that had the grave misfortune to visit our back yard.
We don't know Chloe's exact history but the animal behaviorist who evaluated her said that she'd had a very rough and mean former life.
I loath the people who train dogs to kill for sport. It's disgusting. I wish the rescued dogs all the luck in the world. Truly hope that some of them will be able to live semi-normal lives.
