Hey, USPS is all the time trying to close post offices. They have about 20,000 "spare", but you'd think you were trying to shut down homes for the elderly the way the public, and the politicians, react to the idea.

Quite a few have been closed around where I live over the years. But there's always a bigger replacement. Each one of the bigger replacements sells teddy bears and pictures of Derek Jeter too. When you give them something to mail, they ask if you want it insured or some other inane question which delays the other folks waiting on line. Are the postal workers getting a commission? And BTW, we have a net plus of at least one post office where I live. The post office where I have my box used to have counter service from 7:30 to 5:30. Now I think it's 8:30 to 5:00. It's a disaster for me to receive certified mail.
Close 'em all and let UPS and FedEx fight for my business.
