Under normal circumstances, I no longer buy the newspapers. Since I will soon enter the preliminary stages of a job search (still employed, just “browsing”), I decided to buy the Sunday paper this week. Here is a sample of what was found.

I'd never had a cat before, so what did I know? But my kitty came in one day soaking wet, and I tried to dry her off with old towels and cleaning cloths. She was against it! Took three of us to hold her and dry her. She flounced off, giving me a very annoyed look.
So, OKAY, I figured it out. Cats dry themselves, at least when it's just rain and not snow. I had insulted her catness. Next time, I'd know better.
Next time she came in wet, she jumped up on the "drying" chair, and kept meowing at me. When that failed, she did the thing where they walk a few steps and look over their shoulders to tell you to follow them. So I followed her.
She led me to the linen closet where I kept cleaning cloths, reached out and touched them, and gave me the look over her shoulder.
I dried her. I dried her every damn time she got wet in her twenty year life.
She insisted.
(I miss her.)

#19 looks like our family cat, Barney ... awwww ... he was quite a guy.
