A Tooele County substitute teacher has been accused of having sexual relations with a 16- or 17-year-old male student she met while teaching at Tooele High School.
Police booked 29-year-old Cameo Patch into the Tooele County jail on Friday on suspicion of unlawful sexual conduct, a third-degree felony, and lewdness, a class A misdemeanor.
Investigators said Patch and the boy met Tuesday at a restaurant in Tooele, where they exchanged phone numbers and arranged to meet later that evening to talk. It was during the second meeting at an undisclosed location that the sexual contact allegedly occurred.
A school resource officer contacted police on Thursday about the alleged inappropriate conduct after receiving information from an informant, Tooele police said. During an interview with investigators at the Police Department on Friday, the student admitted the sexual contact occurred. Patch was interviewed the same day and then arrested. - Jason Bergreen

Ok, did they first meet at school or at the restaurant? Was the guy 16 or 17? I would imagine age would make a huge difference in any charges but of course journalists now days don't seem to be bothered with such things as facts.
Not bad looking but when you are on a starvation diet, saltines look like T-bones.

When a person gets caught doing this stuff, they always say, "This is the first time I've ever even thought about doing this." Yeah, right.
When I was 16, I probably would've gotten a piece of that action if she made the first move. And no, I'm not condoning this.

I'm not sure if this is really happening more often or you just see these stories a lot more because of the 24-hour nature of news TV and the internet. Maybe a combination of both?
There are enough of them now that they are being taken as a whole rather than individual occurrences.
Not bad at all. Why didn't this happen to me when I was in high school?
Yeah, why didn't I get her for after-school detention? Oh well. If I did, we'd probably be the subject of an after-school TV special, too.
