Agree completely. If said at all, it sounds much more like a comment that Prince Philip might make. He who has never stood on ceremony.

I have been an unabashed admirer of H.M., her sense of duty, and her love of animals since I was just a little girl. We will not see the likes of Queen Elizabeth II again.

Prince Philip has has often said things that were less than tactful. Their daughter was cast much in her father's image ... has never had much of a problem with the press as, like her father, she does not bite her tongue. My favorite Princess Royalism was when "they" asked her to cuddle up to an Aids baby for a photo op [like her late sister-in-law loved to do any time there was a camera around] ... and she told them "I do not do stunts". Princess Anne has also reportedly told the press to **** off. With a loyal husband and daughter to run interference for her, H.M. has no need to engage in any impropriety. LOL

I like Princess Anne. I'm glad she left her loveless marriage and didn't care what people thought. I believe her comment to the press was 'naff off', not quite as shocking as the f-word would have been, thought a good stand-in. My recollection of Prince Philip crassness was when he was visiting some British students in, I think it was, Japan. He told them to be careful or they might come home with slitty eyes.
