So some liberals are becoming country music fans just show they can root for the Dixie Chicks....
Sounds like the camel getting its nose under the tent to me.

Its not whether or not I like them; they made it pretty plain that they don't like me.

Elsewhere, however, there are nagging questions about the legitimacy of some of those complaints. Titley is one of several people interviewed who claimed that the rash of angry calls demanding boycotts were at least partly the result of a coordinated effort by conservative political activists. When liberals do this it's called "a stunning grassroots effort."

A few years back, when they were just coming onto the music scene, a friend of mine was a big fan of their music, having only ever heard them on the radio. Didn't own any of their CD's, never saw them on TV. He was in love with the lead singer, based solely on her voice.
On a weekend fishing getaway at a mutual friends lake place, we were kicking back at the end of the day and he was flipping through the channels on the dish TV. He comes across a DC's video on some country channel, jumps out of his chair and screams: "F*&K ME! IT'S THS SHORT FAT ONE!!"
True story.

What a crock. Another bs agenda.

Titley, too, thinks a little payback may be in order. "Now that things have fallen apart politically on the right," he says, "there might be a certain vindication."Reminds me of an old Aerosmith classic...Dream On

I am a conservative...but I don't require that my music be made only by conservatives, that the cows I eat must be conservative, and the chickens and fish. Artists are screwy politically...they have always been liberal. Big frikken deal. Is music bad just because the musician disagrees with me?
Aren't we bigger than that?
Flame if you like...I don't give a sh!t.
I have relatives that are liberal. I don't like the way they think, but I don't want them dead.
