I wouldn't have my pets chipped. It's a bunch of nonsense. I've had indoor/outdoor pets for over 20 years. None of them ever got lost. None of them ever ran away from home and we keep an eye out on them when they are out so they are not stolen. It's just more intrusion into your life - using scare tactics. Don't fall for it.
The animal chipping for the livestock is now mandatory by January 2008: All premises registered with enforcement.
The school lunches was signed in this past weekend by Codey to be mandatory by September.
The 'Healthy People 2010' project goal is to have all of us nutritional tracked in the database by 2010.
Pets are suppose to be mandatory also. But I have not read up on that yet. They are included in that Power Point presentation I have linked by Optibrand though.
