Lots and lots of clothesline would probably be strong. Yup, Home Depot has rope. Hmmm... why don't you wait, eventually somebody here will tell you exactly what sort of rope to get.

Well, I'm back from the vets with the kitten. The operating vet thinks it's a seroma (the fluid serum part of blood) between the skin and abdominal wall, and that it will go down by itself, but she has a 103 temp, so they started her on the bubble gum antibiotics.

Thank you all, I hope he's right and it goes down without more troubles. She's not all that fond of the drops... it's gonna take a towel to dose her, she got me with a back foot pretty good when I was tryin' to hold her for it at the clinic. ;~D

I didn't think it was too bad a scratch, but the vet made me wash it up good put a band-aid on me, said "trust me, I'm a doctor".
