To: Corin Stormhands
I used a color called "Sea Island Cotton" for our foyer. It is a lovely vey pale beige. I got it from Fine Paints of Europe. The paint is more expensive than the usual, but the finish lasts longer than the typical paint, it is nicer looking, too. You can order a sample pot of it at their website Fine Paints of Europe

When the floor started going in we realized the pale yellow we'd been thinking about just wasn't going to work. So we're going with an off white of ~some~ kind. Right now we have hunter green in the kitchen/den, gold in the living room/dining room (office) and yellow in the foyer and upstairs hall.

I figure going to all white-ish in all of those areas will feel like moving to a bigger house.
