Considering I'd have no clue where to start if I really wanted to do a garden that spanned seasons, I really like the idea!

Heh...I spent about two hours at the bookstore the other day when I'd just dropped off the van, looking at a book about a family that bought a rundown farm in Vermont and turned the entire property into one HUGH garden, so I'm feeling flower deprived. ;-) They started out with even more junk than I think I'll be dealing with - car carcasses and piles of old farm equipment and destroyed sheds and such. Of course, they also were showing how they progressed over 20 years. I don't think I'll have that luxury. But it was fascinating, just the same!

I've always wanted to plant flowers in an old toilet. VEY redneck! ;o)
