They stopped and talked to us and said that a pickup truck had hit a motorcyclist and that the motorcyclist had been thrown up into the air and had flipped up over the truck.

That doesn't sound good at all!

One of the fire trucks looked like an ambulance, except it was all red, like a firetruck, not white like a normal ambulance. It drove away first, with no siren.

The lady I was visiting with and I both thought that it wasn't a good sign.
