Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And there are many paths to tread
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

ORU!
I've been in those towers...the golden city or whatever... Cancer Treatment Center of America is up there and I've worked some there.
You could put a wheelchair in the middle of the nurses station and it would roll out and across the floor and into a patient's room all on it's own.
Those towers made me nervous! LOL

Okay, so unchecking "enable third party browser extensions" ~seems~ to have stopped the script error.

I don't drool over actors often, so when I do, I do it very well!
Besides, he's one of the few libertarian/conservatives in Hollyweird ... gotta respect that ...
Do you have the DVD Man From Snowy River?

Man From Snowy River? The one with Tom Burlinson and Kirk Douglas? I like that one! I like the actress who played the girl. She was also in another terrific Australian film, The Lighthorsemen, about an Aussie Light Infantry division trying to take Beersheeba from the Turks and Germans in WWI.

We're finally watching "24" from last night. We'll probably only watch about 1/2 of it before we crash.

Martha should be President ... more guts and honor than anyone, with the exception of the Secret Service dude.
To: Rose in RoseBear
We like "Aaron" a lot; we've liked him since the first season of "24". We've been seeing him in other older movies, now that we know who he is. He was in the movie Air Force One and The Core, in which he played an FBI agent who was hilarious in his stone faced way. The actor's name is Glenn Morshower, and he was born in Dallas!

The thing that is intersting to me is why Mike Novick is still the President's Chief of Staff. He was in that position for President Palmer in the first season, but Logan would have chosen someone from his own party, right? Seems fishy to me, but Novick is a weasel, so he must have arranged it somehow. ;o)

Due to some very kind donations that arrived today, I did some online shopping, and ordered three of
these to add to our "unadvertised specials" line.
Actually, I already had one on hand, and liked so much of what I saw that I ordered three more.
Should I have the Hobbit Hole logo engraved, or just give them away plain?

Those are cool looking! What is that 'logo'?

Those are cool looking! What is that 'logo'?That's "Benchmade", another top brand. Their logo is a butterfly. They started by making top-rated folding knives and switchblades, and now make fixed-blade knives, too. This particular knife is pricier than the Gerber or Camillus, which is why it will be saved for special occasions.
