Maybe just disable the alert?
This error can be disabled:
-- In Internet Explorer select Tools, Internet Options.
-- Select the Advanced tab.
-- Check the option Disable script debugging (under Browsing).
-- For the setting change to take effect close down all Internet Explorer windows and reopen.
Should be checked by default, I believe, but its something to look at.
It was checked. It's popping up now even when I'm not going from page to page. I've got themovie in and have the FR notification on...
"These files are all related to MS Messenger, not to be confused with MSN messenger. Unless you're working in an office environment, and the support peoplr need to be able to message you about things, it's unneccesary, and often abused by spammers."
"To disable this, there are several steps involved.
First: open your Norton AV program, and look for "instant messenger protection" and remove the check mark (if it exists). Close.
Second: Open Outlook Express (if you're using it) and go to tools->options, and then the preferences tab. Remove the check from "Alow this program to run in the background", and click OK. Close OE.
Third: Go to your Windows control panel and look for "administrative tools", and once there, "services". Find "Messenger", right click, and choose properties, then select the option to "disable" from the drop down box next to "startup type". Click OK.
Lastly: Before leaving this admin section, right click "Messenger" in the list, and choose "stop".
Reboot the system, and see if this stops the issue.
sigh...
I'm not running Norton
I don't have a preferences tab
Messenger was already disabled and I didn't have the option to "stop"
I feel bad that you guys are spending so much time on this.
Hey, enough eyeballs looking at it might just git er done!
Thanks. I found some others that involve downloading some cleanup programs. I'm trying to avoid that if I can.
We went garage saling and Rosie got this HUGH plant :~D
And we found a couch that I really liked, and so I bought it so we'll give Rosie our old one.
She also got a big dresser and a big mirror for her Bathroom. It's still in the truck. We also picked up her bookcases from my friend Sonya, and we'll be taking all that over to her place this afternoon.
Next time, when you go couch shopping... take off your sunglasses. :-)
Holy moley...
At least it will scare the animals so much that you won't have to wrestle them for a space on it.
It's really not that bright when it's in a dark room... ;~D
Well... it's kinda growin' on me.
But, wow...
Right now, over where you bought it there's somebody on the phone talking to their sister saying "Yah, we're just finishing up, yes, we did OK with the sale... and can you believe it... somebody finally bought ~the sofa~... no!... I can't believe it either..."
Rosie: I'd go real easy on the 'miracle plant grow' with that plant!! :-)
Hair: cool couch, looks like cattails and mallards in the pattern.
In other news, LSA called me to the front window, big ol raccoon climbed out of the storm sewer to check out the corn spillage from the Old Mill. Wildlife in the heart of the city.
One thing the lady said about the plant is that cuttings do really well.
I figger I can pretty well populate my house with cuttings... ;-)
And I have a big window that's just crying out for a nice tall plant.
Need an aloe?
A live ivy?
Yeah...it was in a cup of water, but seems to be OK. Just needs potted.
