Hehehe....I liked the kid who said "you're really taking a chance going to school in the morning." How did that get by the editors?
Do you remember me telling about my neighbor who's daughter got beat up on the bus on the way home from school? We're talking red marks around her neck, black eyes, clumps of hair pulled out.
She was six years old. The bus driver "never saw a thing."
We decided a couple of weeks ago that we're gonna homeschool Joseph for his last two years of high school. He's really excited about it!
Oh, that's right, it was the Scouts. This new group is in for a treat!
[rubs eyes and sips coffee]
Big busy day here... finally get to start on the cleaning. Handy guy will be out of the way.
Oh joy!
Break out the gloves and PineSol! :-D
I'm really looking forward to doing something about it instead of staring at it saying "ick".
I cleaned the kitchen and painted all night in my sleep last night.
Heh, decided he'd had enough of the other high school? Or does he just really like how Clare's been transitioning into college and want to do it the same way?
It's cold here (10) and there's snow on the ground but we're not really supposed to get any more.
Dang! You must have been tired when you woke up!
Yeah - and it's not even done :~D
Whatever happened with Mr. Beepy? Or do you know?
With the possible changes coming with SirKit's job, we've all gotten a little restless. Joseph is just tired of sitting in a classroom all day, and dealing with comments from the Dean of Students about the length of his hair. (that one was really getting on SirKit's nerves). Anyway, Clare has done well, and we know Joseph would do well, too. SirKit is excited about doing some electronics and robotics with Joseph. Both of them are really into that stuff, so it will be fun, and will be a great learning experience for Joseph! SirKit wants to build an electric car!
So will the landlord let y'all paint the walls in any colors Rosie wants, or do they have to remain neutral?
Nnngh, he was partying until at least one, when I finally got to sleep. Never heard anyone come by. I don't blame them, with the snow.
Get this, at midnightish, while I was still doing homework, one of 'em comes gallumphing down the stairs yelling on his cell phone to the reinforcements that are having trouble finding the place. So he goes outside to wave 'em down and props the door open with a rock - which isn't allowed - and then when they go in they leave the door open. After midnight. In a snowstorm. When it's flippin' 8 degrees out! I had to go and close it, it gets cold enough in here without help.
Oh - I don't think he'll care. That's not really what we're doing now... We're gonna clean out and paint the INSIDE of the kitchen cabinets now so that they're clean and white inside. They're grungy. And I got some of that spray foam insulation to spray around the cutout for the sink drains. For a two inch drain they cut about a four inch hole through the floor ;~D Anyway that's a big way mice are getting in. I've been told that if you spray that foam and stick steel wool bits in the foam, mice won't chew through that. We're gonna test the theory anyhow, and then paint them inside.
You know, I don't think I could be that insensitive to others around me if I tried.
And you'd think he would learn that if he's told x number of times that he's bein' too loud, MAYBE he should think about being less loud in the future. It doesn't seem to click.
Oooohhhh....entertainment for Tam and Havlah!
They got jobs now!
Do you have that amazing, expanding foam spray? That is really cool stuff. SirKit sprayed that around the door to the outside in the basement because it was leaking air! It worked like a charm, and you can cut off the excess after it hardens. Looks funny when it starts to expand.
