Ruthy!

You need to let others share your toys, dear.

... and all you other software types ...

Found something of interest. I'm teaching myself C# --- hey, if I can teach myself C and APL and CPG and JavaScript, I can surely teach myself some jumped-up Rapid Application Development second-generation mutation of C --- and I came across a free version of Safari Bookshelf.

Safari Bookshelf is a hugh collection of technical books that can be accessed online. That in itself is pretty cool, but Safari Bookshelf costs. However, you can go to www.informit.com and access some books for free without signing up for the 14-day free trial.

If this is your thing, check it out!

Big Ol' posted some pictures:

Heh. He swiped 'em from me. LOL

We got about 20" in the deeper spots. I suspect it's from drifting. It kept snowing until midday. Big'ol kept on top of plowing the drive so that when the sun finally come out the snow melted off right quick. I should have no problem getting up the hill tomorrow morning.

Otherwise we stayed in and puttered about. Did laundry and assorted chores. Nothing exciting.

Spent the afternoon getting SirKit ready for his flight. He finally rolled out of here about 7:15, for his 8:45 flight, and he had an hour's drive! It was a case of "Hurry up and wait", though. He got to the airport and checked in, but there was no plane and no gate. He called just a minute ago and said they had the plane and the gate, but no flight crew! He had no idea when they'd take off. At least he'll be able to sleep on the plane; it's a non-stop flight, and he's got a reservation at a hotel not too far from the airport, so he can sleep a little more when he gets there.

Sheesh. Hope they get there soon!

Thank goodness the time change will spare him a red-eye arrival time.

Yeah, well he just called and they haven't given them a departure time yet! He may just drive on back home and fly out tomorrow.

It's a good thing you didn't tell Rosie before she hit the road! It mighta been a problem if she'd had too many pints and started talking about her journey; not sure if Strider woulda been there for her.

Goood morning. Happy Monday, fwiw.

Was a beautiful full moon last night. It was nearly daylight throughout the house with all the light reflecting off the snow. Really pretty.

Of course, there's no heat at work this morning. So, it's wool socks, a fleece, and a space heater for me. I'm tempted to put on the gloves, but it is too hard to type that way. :P

Anyhoo.

mever say "full moon" to a dwarf...

Trainer did a CNS (Central Nervous System) workout. It's pretty intense. Thankfully, we'll only be doing it every six weeks.

Off to Fangorn...

It's going to get up to 50 here today. About 20 right now though so that doesn't do me much good as far as coat wearing goes.

I'm pretty cheerful for a Monday, wonder why?
