The Hobbit Hole XXVII - And there are many paths to tread...

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

And there are many paths to tread

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Matthew 6:34

Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself.
Let the day's own trouble be sufficient for the day.

Be safe on the roads; it can get SO tricky!

Weather folks say that during the worst of this one, there may be times when we're getting between 2 and 3" an HOUR!! Now THAT'S a snowstorm! Thankfully, that's supposed to happen in the WEE hours of Sunday morning, so there's not likely to be that many people who need to be on the road.

Yah, that would work, though I have a lot of 160 semi jacketed bullets.

The 5.5 grains of unique; might that be a workable load for the .45ACP as well?

She really is starting to speed up in her development.

A few months ago she was still talking in gobbledegook. Now she's able to express what she wants. Although that is a mixed blessing at this point. :-/

True enough, it's light, but we're talking the Webley-Green here, not a 1911 or Sig 220. I'll have to weigh the lead SWCs I have for the .45ACP/.45AR.

Heh, I read some wag once who said that we spend the first two years trying to get our kids to speak, and the next 15 trying to get them to be quiet! ;o)

We have some great kids, even when they can be annoying, they're still a lot of fun to be with! But then, our kids are just 'different'; not at all like most of the other kids their ages that we know. We realized a long time ago that our kids wouldn't be considered in the 'cool' category, and frankly, are very thankful for it. They have very eclectic tastes, and that makes them more interesting people.

Joseph turned 16 last weekend, and SirKit announced to him and Clare that there are no more children in our household. They are, for the most part, adults now, and we will be treating them that way from now on. Made for an interesting discussion about education plans, etc.
