Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And there are many paths to tread
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

That book is truly obscene. What a horrible way to twist a child's mind.
No kidding. Check out the background pics too. Note that Republican elephant lumbering by to be protected from. Now, why is it that the 'Democratic family' is made up of squirrels instead of donkeys? Perhaps they didn't want to burro deeper into their already well-established image of being asses. Oh, and the author isn't married, he has a 'partner'.

Don't worry, as soon as you get attached to them, the emotional connection is extremely negative. :)

Galaxy Quest is a great movie. How could anyone not like it? You already know I'm wierd...my family is likewise wierd, and in different ways. My sister is, I find, wierd partly in not liking Galaxy Quest :)
Oh, and "there are no cute guys in The Two Towers."
While it's true that I spend much of that movie saying "Meanwhile, can I have another look at Eowyn?" I am nonetheless aware that there is not quite enough Faramir or Pippin* for most feminine tastes.
*This list not intended to be construed as all-inclusive :D

While I recognize the fact that one must really be a Trekkie to fully appreciate Galaxy Quest, seriously, what *is* her standard for cute guydom?
