Luke's birthday is tomorrow. We're not ~supposed~ to get anything but rain and slushy accumulation. But the place where we're holding it wants to set up a cancellation plan...

The clot that she threw is of some concern at the moment,

Yikes!! That don't sound good! She's still in my prayers, Sam, as are you.

I do believe the final cuts will be made next week.

Then it goes into the battle for who will be in the coveted top 10.

Simon is terrible sometimes, but he's usually just being brutally honest.

So is Luke turning 6 or 7 tomorrow? Did y'all ever decide if you're going to homeschool him?

Joseph is spending the day at a local Math/Science Magnet school. He'd love to go there for his last two years of high school. In the Junior year, it's basically the same as any other school, but in the Senior year, the kids attend classes at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. They have to make sure they're getting all the basic classes covered, but can choose classes within those subjects. It's pretty competitive, but we discussed it with him; if he doesn't get in, we're going to homeschool him his last two years of high school. We, and he are just tired of fooling with the whole rigid school schedule thing. I guess we're getting lax in our old age, but he's excited about the possibility of taking classes at the Comm. College like Clare did.

He turns 6 tomorrow. We haven't fully decided on homeschooling. We ~think~ that Mrs. won't be teaching next year, but she'll be traveling more with the other job (mostly daytime travel). So, we'll have to see.

He's been trying to teach himself to count in Spanish. So I talked to him about it this week. We're going to get a Spanish learning CD/program and do it together. Any recommendations?

He's also really into me reading The Chronicles of Narnia. We're on Chapter 3 of Prince Caspian.

Heh...on a whim, I bought the jedis a "Flash Gordon" DVD at Walmart. It cost a buck and has three really old episodes...black and white, from the fifties, I guess.

The boys LOVE it! Funny!

She's seeing a hematologist next week that was highly recommended. We fired one last week!

I just took Joshua outside and pointed out the radishes to him. They've all got secondary leaves at least and some even have the third set of leaves.

I showed him that all the radish leaves were aimed in the same direction...all up and facing the sun.

Pretty neat!

Heh...if they're the ones with Buster Crabbe, they're older than that - from the 30s. We used to have some of those...

All the uniforms looked to be leftover from other shows. Like, in one episode, they landed on a planet so they weren't wearing their "space" uniforms. All the good guys were dressed like Robin Hood and all the bad guys had Roman soldier outfits.

And the acting is delightfully dreadful!

I think they did make some in the 50s, too, though. I haven't seen those.

She's not suffering any discomfort from it, Suzi. For all we know, she's been throwing them most of her life. OTOH, it's worrisome.

All right...got my hair cut. Now I'm ready to cruise in style!

And I got the bed taken apart and in the living room. Oh joy... I promise I'll get things straightened up quickly this afternoon!

Also got one last coffee drink from the little place at the mall. *snif* I really like that place. They roast their own beans and have excellent coffee and cinnamon rolls.

Have you planted any sunflowers? The flowers track the sun throughout the day.

Snowshoe person is coming up this evening - plans to pick 'em up right then and there.

Bed person should be coming at three-thirty, unless I hear otherwise.

Still not a peep back from the chair person. I could e-mail 'em again, I suppose, but I hate to be a nag.

Shouldn't have to use the credit card for gas money, though, in any case! Woot! That's a load off my mind.
