Almost forgot to mention...
As I was trying to leave this morning (the truck quit on me for a while, but that's another story) there was a guy in a pickup truck next door, loading a bunch of junk - including some of that carpet - onto a pickup and transferring it to the dumpster.

OK, off in search of rope and to mail more boxes. Here's hoping these aren't any heavier than the last one...

But I think that's *all* I need to get before the trip! Should be able to make snacks rather than purchasing 'em. Would be nice to have some fruit, but that's not a big cost. Woo-hoo!
And I got two more boxes out, neither of which was all that pricey. Down to just one, unless I end up having to mail a few things at the last minute.
I was hoping to be able to come up for a visit week after next. SirKit had a trip to Portland in the works. Unfortunately, the trip has been moved up to next week, and I just won't be able to get away. DANG!
Oh - so no trip to Dupont either?
He might be going up to Dupont, but most of his visits I think will be in Hillsboro. I'm hoping he'll be going up there again later in the Spring. It would be fun to be able to come up for a visit with y'all, even if just for a day.
You wouldn't believe what's going on next door. A guy's been hauling garbage and he said he's taken five pickup loads.
The carpet and frap's almost all gone. Inside, they've patched the floor in the bathroom and installed all new light fixtures... not just some of them, he's replaced all of them, and put new carpet in the back bedroom that had the inexplicable hole in the middle of the carpet.
We'd love to have you, even just for a day. :~D
