The Hobbit Hole XXVII - And there are many paths to tread...
http://freeper.the-hobbit-hole.net/ ^

Posted on 01/16/2006 6:56:15 AM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

And there are many paths to tread

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Stealth FReeping whilst at lunch. Should I put the ring on so they won't see me?

I just use my Palm Pilot with wi-fi to surf the hospital's open, unfirewalled access point. A little slow and crude, but it gets the job done.

Pippin and Tweek both came through surgery just fine... Pippin can be picked up after 4, Tweek can be picked up tomorrow morning. Pippin's knobby is being called cartilage that shouldn't be there but doesn't seem to be bothering him ~it~. :~D

Oh - Do you want to pick him up? Sure - Their carrier is there... I think they decided they were so comfortable there together that they were gonna leave them in there together till surgery time.

Heh...yeah, I did! I'd be a happy temp if I could GET temp work. ;-)

But stability is more important to me than flexibility and freedom, so I wouldn't wanna do temp work forever. Guess I'm boring that way.

Desk sold! Now down to the bed and the office chair. And the snowshoes, but those are optional. I imagine there are places in WA that I could use 'em, even if the weather down below is warmer than here...
