Said they got an average of 11 pounds of potatoes per stack! That's a lot.
I keep forgetting that things like rototillers exist. Woulda saved me a lot of trouble at the house! Not that I had more than a few feet (literally) to rototill.
Do they rent 'em by the weekend or something? Are they pretty easy to use?
And if the paneling could be painted...well, that makes a difference! That was the first thing that hit me about the pictures. Sad, I know...but like I said, I had some in the house that was NOT in good shape (buckled and cracked in places), and it took me ages to get it out. So it didn't have happy associations for me. ;-)
But if the whole place could be redone in cheerier colors, it could look pretty nice, I think!
Yep. True!
Steve and the jedis are in the garage, working on pinewood derby cars for their RAs (missions class at TCDTS). The big race is tomorrow.
So I'm getting a bit of time in the Hole!
Sure - you could rent it for a day or a weekend. They come small or big... we used to have a rather big one growing up, cuz mom had a big garden, it was a little scary to operate but it gets the job done fast :~D
There are some jobs you can bust your butt all weekend and not get very far, or rent a machine and do the same thing in an hour.... rototilling is one of them. :~D
A derby race! How cool is that?
Take pictures please. :-D
Here's a good article...

Nice set up, 2J!
Evenin' folkses... :-)
Sounds like they could be scary-and-fun, both. But considering it took me HOURS to get a tiny patch cleared back home, a rototiller would definitely be worth it!
Vroom indeed...
I'll get Steve too...this is a son and dad thing! Heh heh.
I'm glad because Joshua never got to the Scouting thing, like Matthew did. We just quit and never got back in to it during the hardest part of Steve going to school. But this RAs thing is the exact same thing and you compete with other RAs all over the state!
[snif] Pinewood derby. :-)
Hi there. :-D
Well then, ~please~ don't forget the camera. ;-)
I just use a shovel and do a little bit at a time....need the exercise.
I've got a Mants tiller, but you don't use it to break ground.
Thanks! We have our floating row covers pushed aside so the sun can warm the soil...we pull them back over the plants in the cold weather.
We'll see...supposed to get into the teens this weekend.
Frazzled yet?
Lemme guess... yer not stayin' up very late tonight. :-)
