Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And there are many paths to tread
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

It hasn't paid for itself yet this year, except in peace of mind.
Here's hoping it stays that way!
*fingers crossed*

I've been snowed in up in that country in July. My folks have a place in McCall, ID. The route is south of there, but most of the passes don't get plowed until 4 July. Of course, you'll be on the interstate, and they do keep it clear.
Just as an FYI, when I drive from SD out to Idaho, I take US 30 through Kemmerer. I can make it from eastern SD to Pocatello in one day.

Oh, I'm not talking about road service - although, they've helped me out there plenty of times.
I was talking about their discounts on hotels and such.

You know, they should just make Jack Bauer the President. *grin*

That was a good episode. Couldn't remember which was the 'drink' word tonight..protocol or perimeter. :-)
To: osagebowman
I think it was "perimeter", judging by when the word "DRINK!" got posted to the live thread... ;)

(The only reason you are conscious right now is because Jack Bauer does not feel like carrying you.)

Thanks, I've seen 'em at Cabellas by the Speedway, would like to try them out at a range and see how they work, side by side.

You know, they should just make Jack Bauer the President. *grin* I'd vote for him.
That said, I can't help but feel sorry for (Debbie Gibson) after all, she was (treated a bit unfairly) don't you think. And, who's that (gay guy) she was (skating with)?

No 24 here. Pretty good version of the Flight 93 story on A&E, with my pseudo-PVR in the 'puter picking up
The Family Guy (2 episodes).
Next: see about Cartoon Network at 2300...should be Futurama and more Family Guy.
To: ExGeeEye
I'm curious about the Flight 93 story. I'll watch the last hour or so. Did you already see it? Was it a passable version of the story?

We just got finished watching tonight's episode. It was really good! We put it on DVR, so we always wait until it's almost over, then we can watch straight through with NO commercials!!

We like having the DVR now so we can back up if there's a "what did he say?" moment... but I actually like the commercials... that's when we can talk for a minute about what just happened or what might happen next. :~D
