The Hobbit Hole XXVII - And there are many paths to tread...
http://freeper.the-hobbit-hole.net/ ^

Posted on 01/16/2006 6:56:15 AM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

And there are many paths to tread

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

What, you mean besides what did you expect to read here, anyway? Nothing much.

Dunno if they're Bluetooth. I got different brands to try and avoid problems, but we're still getting conflicts.

Mine appears to be working just fine... (Logitech)

ecurbh's seems to be more finicky (Microsoft)

Well, OK... now that I look at my wireless kb/mouse I don't see any bluetooth logo. But I'm pretty sure they are... what with the sync button and all. I know for sure my new headset is bluetooth and it doesn't have any such logos either.

I just don't know anything. That's my problem.

So Tax-chick's baby is finally comin'?

I should find her last posts. I know all week she's been thinking it was gonna be any day!

*sigh*

I'm already tired of trying to pare down my stuff. I'm realizing I should bring *less* to WA than I brought here, not *more*. And I have quite a few more books, in any case.

I know books are replaceable, but it's hard to let go of the ones I've been meaning to read but just haven't gotten around to it.

Why should you bring less? You'll have a bigger place.

'Cause I have less money to pay for shipping. ;-)

I know I can charge costs...but if I bring *all* my books (mail 'em, that is), it'll cost me over a hundred bucks, I'd say.
