Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And there are many paths to tread
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Fabulous Winmag! Thanks for these pictures!
We got a phone call last night around midnight and I didn't catch it in time.... I checked messages, and it's from some 'doctor in Russia who knew my family when I was a little girl.....' Two sentences into it it sounded just like any Nigerian email.... Has anyone else ever gotten one of those email scams by ~phone~?

The South Park that we watch is a much-toned down version of the one I saw at your house! It must have a lot cut and certainly the language is toned down. Still, we watch it sometimes....sometimes we say "Nah" and turn it off. Heh heh!
The Jimson Weed. Ugh. I just found out what it was. It's really invasive in my back yard and the jedis and I take scissors every day during the summer and cut off the little spiny "apples" and throw them away so it won't spread in our yard. I don't mind a few plants, though, because although the plant is stinky, the flowers that open in the evening are truly pleasant to smell. The perfume comes in the house.
The native tribes use it for a ceremonial drug. I don't think I'm going to let the jedis mess with it anymore! LOL!

I've seen a couple of those on the regular TV channel that have been obviously cut.... the funny thing is, they told us it was cut with a screen that says "the part that shows ____ has been edited" Other than that, just the language would be beeped. Sometimes there isn't a rule that covers South Park.

Heh heh!!
No way am I finding out! LOL!! When I told Steve he said "Stop chopping it down!!!" But he was just kidding. He was in a funny mood last night...joking around. He said he only had about 1-2 more weeks on the paper...maybe he really is closer to finishing than he was 1-2 weeks ago (when he said the same thing...heh heh!)

Woohooo! Albertson's sale starts today!! I've been waiting all week.
Chicken breasts $1.74 a pound.
Milk $1 per half gallon.
Just to name a few.
We've run completely out of meat and I wouldn't buy any more until this sale! LOL!! We had salmon patties last night. I almost bought some round steak...crappy old round steak....but saw it was almost $4 a pound at Walmart.

The wonderful thing about tiggers
Is tiggers are wonderful things
Their tops are made out of rubber
Their tails are made out of springs!

I want to make some of Jen's curry chicken (since we're going to *have* chicken this evening).
Give me the exact instructions again, Jen....I found the coconut milk at Walmart, but only a curry sauce powdered mix, no curry paste. I may have to go to an asian store, which would actually be kinda fun. Never been to one!
