The Hobbit Hole XXVII - And there are many paths to tread...

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

And there are many paths to tread

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Good morning! I woke up just a few minutes before Steve's alarm went off and could hear the coffee making, so I went ahead and got up. Checked on the jedis...they slept soundly through the night after I dosed them with Delsym (Dextromethorphan). It did the trick.

Yes, much better. I'm hoping today will be a good day for the boys...they're really plagued by a cough, and Joshua has such a stuffy nose that it was starting to get raw. Thank goodness for Puffs Plus (with lotion)...they're the best!

Argh. I'm not very motivated to do work today. But, I've put it off for far too long.

Off to it. *sigh*

I'm trying to convince management that we should take the rest of the week off for Mozart's birthday....no success so far.

Not like it's every week that Mozart celebrates his 250th birthday! Yeesh!

Well, I have these and nothing has changed since I posted 'em...just a few more sprouts but you can barely see 'em...I can see 'em because I get out there on my knees with my reading glasses and look for 'em! LOL!

I'd like to go ahead and fill up the cinderblock bed with some soil mix and a bit of composted manure.

Mmm...big change...

That kind is also very nice. And less stressful, as a general rule.

Hmm, when we've talked about big changes coming up that wasn't what I envisioned...
